Hi Jan,

Well, it sounds like you did receive some important input in spite of Blue Cross.

Is your situation the result of going out of network? In any event, you might consider reporting Blue Cross's "caring concern"...haha...to your congressman. Congress has the HMO's under a microscope right now so maybe there's a chance to stick it to em!

Also, you may want to contact a major newspaper in your area; depending how feisty you're feeling at the moment...<g>

Haven't heard of a Tens Unit 'til now. How long might you have to wear it?

Hi Jan!

Glad to see you're better. I've been away from the threads since last Wednesday so didn't even know you were away! I'm a little bit surprised to see that Blue Cross gave the Stanford doc's a hard time. Always thought it was only the little private practice providers that got screwed-over. Yep, HMO's really suck. My wife has done countless hours of work, for no reimbursement. They often will either find some reason that the procedure isn't covered, or will make it so difficult for the provider to bill, that the provider just cant spend the time to do it. Definitely a sore spot in our family!

Take care Bumblebee (re: buzzzzzing butt).

Glad to hear you're home safe ... and best yet... NO SURGERY?! Too damn cool!!!

Wonder how the McKie's are doing today.... After the hangover I got at yesterdays "Camp Cabanawahoo" I'm thinking I would have been much better off in Woodland Hills....

Anyway...glad to hear you're OK. What's the long term plan now?
