Distribution: smart folks no longer holding for the long term. Instead they are selling stocks bought at much lower multiples to less-smart folks recently enthralled with the gains. I would guess distribution is continuing. I imagine somebody listening today, holding AOL, will take Bob's advice and sell. On another topic: I too heard the new theme music. It's a signal man! Meandering means there is no conviction of buyers or sellers and we are stuck in a trading range. Distribution is when the smart money is exiting by selling to the dumb money. If we go to record highs, there was no distribution but rather a meandering market; if we tank, then there was distribution and we were the victims of the smart money if we did not sell. ALL FWIW.
