One of the things the flag symbolizes is the right to free speech. The freedom in our minds and hearts is much more important than a symbol. Congress is looney.

Yes, I agree nihil. I can tell you those feelings amongst our older veterans are still very strong indeed though. I can remember standing near a parade last year with a bunch of old vets. The flag issue came up, and I just smiled in agreement as they talked about it as a horror beyond conception.

It would take courage greater than mine to discuss the issue with them, and especially to disagree.
