Hi RFH,

Are the Non-commercial the large traders, and the nonreportable the small speculators?

Yes, you are correct. Commercials and large traders (funds, pools, etc.) are the ones that report. The "total" column on that link is the sum of the two. The non-reportable #'s are figured by subtracting the total reported (long or short, but not both, since futures is a zero-sum game) from the open interest.

Open interest, as I'm sure you know, is the total # of contracts (longs or shorts, but not both) in a futures market. FWIW, talk to you later

Best Regards,

Frank
