DISH.. I have a few hundred which was the remnants of a larger block that I sold off little by little. Unfortunately in the last 6 weeks my 'investment' decisions have been for 'week long intervals' at most. My last group of longer term holds were ENTU, HLIT, GEOC,CREE, MACR, EFII, ADBE and ETEK.. From the time I sold them weeks ago, I have only entered into any longer term relationship with a very limited number of stocks. Furthermore I don't expect ot stay in a long term relationship with any net stock after July. Although I consider myself bullish on such stocks like ERTS, MACR, EXDS, VIGN, INKT, VERT, EFII, ADBE, I maintain nothing more than short 1-3 day forays into any of them. I did begin a longer term account with AOL, MSFT, INTC but sold those promptly after some profit taking. I own no mutual funds at this time but I'm looking to get the AMIDEX35 Mutual Fund from TransNations Investments LLC since its an easy way to have a stake in my favorite Israeli companies without having the access the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. I have no long term portfolio but do maintain a 'intermediate portfolio' with earnings plays that continued their uptrend, those are held for up to 6-8 weeks or until the trend reverses. I also maintain 1/2 dozen high tech Israeli stocks from period of 1 week to 10 years some of my favorite are GALT, CMVT, ORCT, DSP, WIZTF.. I don't put those on watch list because they are not 'trading' stocks. I opted to sell off the telecommunications stocks at what I thought was a topping. I have some really nice companies left like RIMM, AUDC, BEAM, DEBS, WITC, and remnants here and there of another dozen stocks but nothing more than 1-200 shares. I will wait until after the Y2K problem is resolved to begin a new longer term portfolio. It's almost like a doctor who doesn't really need to accumulate his medicines, because he can write prescriptions whenever he feels ill. Thats the way I feel, I have a steady income without trading and supplement that with trading anytime I see a good market day that will add to those gains. I don't have to 'accumulate' and hold only to wait for a correction to wipe out the gains. I can decide to trade whenever I want to. I can latch onto a stock like PCHM and trade it for 1-2 days make my profit and then go onto another like CUST, make a profit (and sell the loss) and there is no need to hold anything longer than that. I decided on this mode about the time that I exited NTBK and the group of internet stocks that I held the last week of April, when the correction began to spread to other sectors.
