Greg,

<<string together a RAID array, put it on a network, add a little software and you have your storage solution.>>

If that's what you think of SAN and FC, no problem. If you want to be educated in FC and try remotely understand what's going on here, I suggest you to go do some reading, starting with mag_48's links posted on Yahoo every other day.

If you just want to argue Ancor is overprice, it is totally pointless. You believe what you want and you have no clue what the future of FC brings. Just let us believe what we want. ok? We don't need to be saved. Thank you.

KJ

Greg,

There are four or so(the first four) must read articles about SANs and what they may accomplish in the Spring '99 quarterly of Storage Inc., IMO. These articles, although their titles belay something highly technical, are really not. Note the comment in the article titled "3Com Abandons SANs" by Mr. Johnson of 3COM. Obviously, ANCR stockholders believe as Mr. Johnson does, i.e. - there are Fibre Channel companies that are going to make a "killing". And guess which one they are banking on? -g-

Note that the entire issue is dedicated to SANs technology and its great promise.

Go over to the AMEX and focus on a number called BWT. You may make a few bucks talking it down and shorting it....
