surelock, in the case of HEC they had a similar "repricing" option (the April 9, 2000, or the 300 days from the issue). During the repricing period HEC was brought under huge pressure, that after it declined from $6 to about $2.5 and that pressure brought it to the yearly low in the low1'. HEC finally bought the bandits out (at a hefty premium).
