Eric, you see this as additional risk to AMZN. I agree, but am not concerned about this (although there are legitimate worries re: AMZN eventual profitability, already well documented).

You could have made the above statement about any company at the dawn of the PC era, and been correct. The companies that made it out (e.g. DELL, ORCl, MSFT) and became dominant all had visionary leaders that saw the future before everyone else and were able to adapt their vision as the future changed.

Bezos et al have behaved in this manner, to date. That is one (important) reason that I am bullish, in the long term on AMZN.
