taxman..."dell overhyped" the "perception" changed...when all the competitors, some who have a voice of a magnitude greater then "mikey" call for the demise of the pc as it is presently known,start rain falling on dell's parade. remember the "commodore" computer story........"perception" is what put them under....couldn't convince the business sector that they could offer a product(amiga)that would have the ability to go beyond playing "pong" unfortunately many on the thread who are recent initiates to the market via employer contribution plans, and those who were in grade school in the last down turn have no knowledge of history.... when things change as far as stock price...there is always an answer...in dell's case at the present moment(could change tommorrow)they are a business with a not so bright future...not a thing to do with the reality of dell the company...just dell the stock.
