Why isn't all shareware available from the WaveAccount??

You would have thought that someone at Wave would have set up a deal so that a comprehesive listing of program shareware would be available using your WaveAccount. That would change the content from the trivial to something that is actually useful.

I know that many companies will not use shareware, simply because they can't pay for it in an easily accountable manner (doesn't satisfy the paperwork requirements). While they would happily purchase it from a WaveAccount.

Everything else will come by itself, by I believe that it really needs to be jumpstarted with some core products and shareware fits the bill quite nicely.

Please me if I am missing something

Wavoid census (reprise)

How many of us are reading this?

This is an effort to find out how many readers of the WAVX message boards are seriously interested in Wave. As a measure of interest it uses WaveAccounts. This obviously will cause some undercount, as a person can be seriously interested in Wave without having a WaveAccount. The WaveAccount is just the simplest discriminator available.

If you go to members.theglobe.com you can tap your WaveAccount for a nickel to be counted and to indicate (if you wish) a preference between the two most prominent of the free message boards: Motley Fool and Raging Bull. Your choice among the three, alternate, 5-cent .SMOs will indicate either a preference for Motley Fool, a preference for Raging Bull, or no preference between those two. (I omit Silicon Investor because it is not free. I omit Yahoo because it is perpetually imploding.)

Personal information will be treated as confidential. Numbers of responses and expressions of preference will be published only as aggregates.

Thank you in advance for your participation.

Best wishes,
John Sullivan
