Lee, i agree that the sidelines are the place to be ahead of the FOMC. alternatively hedging of both long and short positions is probably an advisable course of action. when the market leaves it's current trading range i'm looking forward to a big move.

Lee,

I read your comparison of today's activity to that of sept 11 97. The thing that I see as different is that now it appears we have a sym triangle or a desc triangle. Back then one might have thought we were in a H&S or even a H&S with a desc triangle at the end of the right shoulder. But as I now look at it; it appears that we were forming a dbl top then it had a quick blow off to compleate the formation.
