No, I don't own it. I just happened to check a daily split
list that is available at quote.com and noticed that a split
was listed for 6/25 that was not in the qp database and so I
decided to make the fix. I never had this problem happen before
and am not sure what caused it. I entered the .1667/1 split
in the split maintenance window..clicked ok..and got the error
message and the abort...with no means to correct the problem
on my own.

If the split requires a graph discontinuity to work...perhaps
they should add this screen to the program.

In any case.. Perhaps their best fix would be to delete the ticker..
and add it in again since the ticker name just changed as well
to txlid.

Thanks for your response.

HI BOB!

Ran a simple scan...

input="fast.lst";
output="adxtrend.lst";

set adx=13;

if
adx(0)>35 then

println Symbol;
endif;

and got the following (partial list)

ADLAC,66.6875,50
ADPT,34.625,41
ADRX,73.875,89
ADTN,33.875,44
ADVNB,13.6875,40
AMCC,70.875,56
AMES,44.25,42
AMKR,7.5625,46
ANCR,24,63
ANDW,17.9375,52
ANIC,10.5,40
APCC,20.875,36
ASBC,43.0625,42
ASDV,17.0625,46
ASFC,43,40
ASML,55.75,51
ASPT,9.5625,49
ATHM,51.5,59
ATHY,12.5,47
ATML,23.8125,43
ATVI,13.6875,51
AVNT,13,41

This looks OK, since all the ADX values are above 35.
BUT when i look at the charts themselves then ADX(yes it's set to 13periods too)gives me completely different values...like
ADLAC adx=29 instead of 50
adpt adx=33 instead of 41 given in the list above.

exporting to MSWIN displays for ADLAC a value of 31 for adx=13.

Any idea what could be wrong and it would interest me if someone else sees the same discrepancy when scanning for ADX values?

Any help would be appreciated!

BTW does someone know and internet based free charting program that allows using ADX??

Thanks!

STEFAN

Bob

Am sure that QP support can fix your problem on Monday.

That reply worked for me if you remember my downloader crashing problem over the weekend.

Janene in support simply had me switch to the other 'b'server and all is well again.

Embarressingly simple fix...eh?
