As William is bumper-to-bumper on the Ventura Freeway right now <g>, I'll answer for him....

Fry's is a semi-discount, high volume, huge selection electronics retailer, mostly in CA. I hate it, because the salespeople are sometimes well-meaning but generally incompetent, and their customer service SUCKS! However, if you want to find what you want to find at a decent price, it's hard to beat.

p.s. If this were not a public forum, I would tell you a related story (oh well).

Fry's is a California chain of mega-warehouse electronics stores. The prices are so-so, the service is non-existent, but the selection is second-to-none.
