Ah yes. It has nothing to do with inflation or Fed policy. Why, then, should the Fed raise interest rates that affects the whole economy? Supplying gold (those IMF sales, for example, will be golden!) is so much simpler. I believe the BOE will start doing exactly that in a week. They are also lowering interest rates.
