Sorry, Terry. I think you will find that anyone in government custody has a legally enforceable right to all of those things.

Well, your world view is technically correct, if we are all savages. There has been a great discussion here of what it means to live in a "civilized" culture", where things like basic medical care would be considered a human right, however. Somehow I don't think you are much of a human rights kind of guy, and prefer to live as a savage, so that you can justify a society which is not actually social or civilized at all, allowing you not to share any of your goodies even with children who are innocent victims of lesser fates. So definitely, you are a savage.
