<I'm suspicious of their plans to offer ipo shares to existing shareholders (I think
they are concerned about the acceptance of some of their offerings in the future).>

Personally, I think this was mainly a move on Wetherwell's part to provide a floor for cmgi's stock price in the face of an uncertain inet and inet ipo market.

< Otoh they sure are wreaking havoc on dclk right now with the altavista speculation....
just a reminder that nobody knows what these companies will be in a few years time I
guess..... >

Amen on both counts. I'm out of dclk at a loss for the Alta Vista/cmgi reason. I know you got out earlier at a great long-term profit. Congratulations.

Doubleclick has 2 1/2 years left on a three-year contract with AltaVista, and AltaVista's share of DoubleClick's revenues are decreasing rapidly. This selloff is a gift.
