heinz,
Excellent point. To be sure, the internet and technology has harnessed increased productivity in the U.S. economy beyond are wildest dreams. It has allowed information to pass at the speed of light and create one small planet into a little global village.

I think Greenspan has inner battles with new-paradigm economists vs. traditional economists.

For me, while it is ever apparent that economic increased productivity abounds, this is no different than all the previous inventions and technological breakthroughs in previous generations and centuries and millenniums. Here's one snapshot article and many small steps forward for man in time:

afr.com.au

For me, the new age goes all the way back to the tower of babel. How man can make a name for himself, we can act as gods.... Yeah, right. And God dispersed the babbling nimrods into the many languages and nations. There is an all encompassing, much larger discussion on this which I would rather leave it alone.

Best, J.T.
