I'm suprised that Iomaniacs have nothing to say about the whole slew of products coming out that are IBM Microdrive CF typeII-compatible. Take these Sanyo CD-R and digital camera w/ CF type II slots for example:

steves-digicams.com

Both of these products take great pains to proudly announce their compatiblity with IBM's CF type II-sized Microdrive. Iomega's PC Card Flop! is not compatible with these brand new devices. I wonder how many other brand new devices coming out don't have PCMCIA type II slots, and won't be compatible with PC Card Flop!? The answer is, mostly ALL of them won't.

Flop! is doing exactly what I said it would... sales to Iomaniacs and a few tech-heads, then ... nothing.

Sorry Zead, The revelation of Sony giving away Zip drives
with their systems totally caught me off guard and rambling.

In any case it looks like Iomega's about to kick some serious butt with a rival such as Sony relenting and acknowledging the marketing value of inclusion of Zip into it's products.
