You may be right, Christopher. But I would not expect hundreds of "acrimonious" posts; a few might be acrimonious, but most would not be, IMO.

One might say that if you are unwilling to discuss your definition of patriotism, you should consider refraining from publicly questioning the patriotism of others.

Must patriots believe that their country is the best of all possible places to live? Is criticism of the policies or leadership of one's country inherently un-patriotic, even though the right to criticize those policies and leaders is one of the fundamental principles of our society?
