Christine, res One reason the ACLU did not protest the prayers of the children after the massacre at Littleton is that that everyone was praying voluntarily and individually, not being coerced to pray in a public school classroom.

How do you know? did you take a poll or something? There may have been atheists at that nationally televised ceremony. And why do you assume a public prayer in school is coercive? Or, are you saying we should allow public prayers at schools, as long as a poll is conducted before hand?
