Elmer,
Half of my Intel investment is underwater although net, it's up. I pray for the best but expect to see the 40s on Intel. I really don't want to own either of these stocks and I'll be 50% cash by the end of the month from 90% invested earlier in the year.
After following AMD closely for over a year now I realize that going up against Intel with a lesser MHZ chip and production problems because of having to push the envelope is akin to beating one's head up side tha' wall.
The K7 has the potential, especially MHz wise but like I said before it's going to be agonizing for the AMD faithful due to the slooooow ramp.
Any idea how fast Intel ramped the P6 when it was first introduced?
100-200k chips the first month or two I bet.

Jim
