BB,

Would anyone here take want INTU stock right now? I would imagine that INTU wouldn't mind owning the rest of CKFR going forward from here.

After thinking about nothing else the last few days, INTU makes the most sense.

Anyone here have any reasons as to why INTU wouldn't buy CKFR out?

Regards,

Rob

Customer Service
by: DCappiello 6547 of 6551
One of the posters recently said that CKFR's customer service is not a big factor, that if they have a problem with a payment, they just call their bank. Well it might surprise you to know that in many of these cases, even though you think you are talking with your bank, you are actually talking to CKFR's customer service dept. They run a 24/7 customer service center, and in keeping with the tradition of allowing the financial institution to take credit for their back office service, frequently give the customer the illusion that they are interacting with their bank.

For this reason, I have begun to ask who I am actually speaking with, and in many cases it is CKFR. For example, I had a question yesterday about setting up my Charles Schwab Access account to perform bill pay. I called Schwab and the person helping me couldn't answer all of my questions but instead gave me another 800 number to speak with an "expert." I called this number and the person answered "Charles Schwab customer service." He went on to answer all of my questions, and was obviously highly informed about the intricacies of the bill pay program, how it worked with my MS Money software, how Schwab's Web Billpay system differed from the more proprietary system offerred by Wells Fargo, etc, etc. I thought this a bit strange and asked him how he knew so much, and he told me that I was actually on the phone with Checkfree, not Schwab. Talk about letting the banks and financial institutions take all the credit for CKFR's own excellent work!

I asked him what is the buzz at CKFR over the recent stock price and the Exchange. He states that senior management is extremely confident about their position in the market, their technology, and business model. He states that the staff at CKFR are very upbeat, proud of the progress they have made, and there appears to be little concern about the threat of the Exchange, since they are several years behind CKFR in developing a working system.

For what it's worth. I grant you that this man is not a member of senior management but I believe it is sometimes more enlightening to speak with an Indian than a Chief when you want to really know what is going on in a company.

BB,

When will the "Exchange" start trying to sign up billers?

I would imagine they would need a product to demo.

BTW CKFR has AOL and Excite locked up. I wonder how much of the portal news matters long term at this point.

Rob
