Sure, the scenario I painted, obviously demands that the shorts would
cover at the end of their campaign, which would obviously be on, or,
around the longest settlement date any customer would get,
say a month.
It will interesting to see these shares bouncing back on a flurry
of "open"(foreign) buying in the next week or so, if my hypothesis
is right.
Your statement "the shares are great
value right now", more or less sums it up, in a different way from
me, PRECISELY because that is easy for you to say, BUT we all
know there are not many buyers are out
there, right now, with the confidence to buy in the face of the "negative" rumours and publicity created on these threads.
Everyone would have been successfully been put off the share,at the start of this month, to make way
for private trading, which would now be complete, if my hypothesis
were correct.
And so, behold!,we wait for the clarification, you say will
come soon (P.S. How the hell do you know this anyway??)
maybe at the end of the week.
Will it put these negative vibes to bed, and so make way for renewed "buying with confidence", perhaps on, or, just after the "shorts" have covered?
Or will it confirm the "short" scenario created by the split rumour??

My hypothesis, doubts the latter very much and whether it was
ever intended to be more than a damper on the share.

However the "well-informed" lobby here, calls for a split,
and you say we should expect a "clearing up" this week, which
should settle the issue.

What wonderful webs we weave!!!
What wonderful playplots this sharegarden provides!!
Lots of worms and compost, rich in Hypotheses!!!

All this hypothetical, you understand!!!

Please advise......
In my scenario, hypothetical as it is(for now, at least?),
Is there any way a broker could have taken an order from me for (say)
20000 shares at 2 5/8 an month ago, and not placed the order
until a month later, when having received my $52500, and the price
now standing at around $2 or less, he then proceeds to buy 20000
to cover his liability to me, pocketing the difference????
At 2, this would yield a shorted profit of $12500, and I shudder
to think how much he would stand to make if he had 10,20,30,40
or even hundreds of captive(supposedly)clients like me!!

Is this (still) the fiction fodder required of screenplays and
novels.....Come on now, dont be coy, give me your best shot,
I value your opinion, because you seem to be the only one here
that claims to know enough about the company to possibly comment
on such a hypothesis!!!
