The net sector has never adhered to traditional valuations. If the party is over, its over for 2nd tier, fly by night companies. I seriously doubt that AOL, YHOO or profitable net companies have anything to be concerned about. Rather, it is to their credit that they will be distinguished from WXYZ.com in the future.
