DJ Time Warner Telecom To Use Lucent's Access Device Pdt>LU

MURRAY HILL, N.J. (Dow Jones)--Time Warner Telecom Inc. (TWTC) agreed to use Lucent
Technologies Inc.'s (LU) ConnectReach integrated communications access device.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

In a press release Monday, Lucent said the device delivers broadband applications between a
service provider's central office and a customer.

In addition, Lucent expanded an agreement with Vina Technologies to include Vina's Multiservice
Xchange integrated access product in its ConnnectReach product, which Lucent will brand
ConnectReach Plus.

Lucent Technologies sells telecommuncations products and services.

Time Warner Telecom sells broadband connections for data, high-speed Internet access, local voice
and long distance.

What has CSCO won away from LU? CSCO is dead in the core. Fortunately, you own both.

Gary,

You always seem to play devil's advocate on this board while never finding anything to fault with CSCO either here or on the CSCO board. I am long both, but longer LU.

I am really curious as to why you continue to own LU?
