There is alot of information floating around out there about the PRIUS. It is a hybrid inwhich the drive train at slow speeds is driven by the electric motor and at high speeds by the Gas motor and for an extra boost by both. The IC engine powers the generator which supplies electricity to the motors and charges a small battery pack. The generator also does regenerative charging/braking. The Prius is already being sold in Japan. Cl News From Toyota - Intersting that Toyota is now advertising too now with their Prius Hybrid Electric Vehicle. Many are speculation on the GLE - Delphi - BMW possibilities. I think we should all be watching for possibilities with Toyota given their relationship with GM and GM's relationship with Delphi. Delphi moved out but GM is still part of the family IMHO.
