OT, sony -> Their new slogan: Sony, Engineering baloney !

agreed, my 2-yr old Sony tv doesn't work (gives 'snow' in the
picture and sound unless use a video input - the 'cable' input
is useless until tv is very-well warmed up - for 30+ minutes)
and my Sony VCR won't rewind if it IS warmed up (ie, on for a few
minutes) - it stops after a few seconds.

My 10-yr old RCA tv, and my wife's ancient (20 yr) Zenith tv
(used to be her grandmothers?) both work great... as does
an old Samsung vcr we have. Sony is 0 for 2...

I'm not buying any more Sony, anything, ever...

Here's a good sign about Dell's regard for the LS-120 drive:

From the dell thread:

"As a DELL shareholder I've looked long and hard at the DELL line.
One feature I require (LS-120 Superdisk) is not available in the DELL
Inspiron line. The DELL service rep I called didn't know what
an LS-120 was.
