Re: Clinton doctrine

The problem is that his bluff is working on far too many people. What are they thinking??? Or, if true to my suspicions, are they thinking at all?

cody,

It is known from history that when world leaders go
around bluffing and posturing like that, it usually
causes major problems. A good example is when the
Secretary of State Dean Acheson gave his infamous
speech on the vital US interests in Asia. He showed
a chart of how vital interests included Japan and
Viet Nam, but failed to include South Korea. A few
weeks later, North Korea invaded the South and the
rest goes down in history.
