Ben Ezra, Weinstein and Company, Inc. Announces Divestiture of Subsidiary: New Company Intends to File as Reporting OTC:BB Company ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., June 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Ben Ezra, Weinstein and Company, Inc. (''BNEZ'') (OTC Bulletin Board: BNEZ - news) announced today that it is divesting Compass Data Systems, Inc. (''Compass''), a Nevada corporation, as an independent entity. Compass will retain its corporate identity and its name. ''Compass Data is in extremely capable hands,'' said Jack Ben Ezra, CEO and President of BNEZ. ''We believe that BNEZ shareholders will receive more value from Compass Data as an independent company than as a subsidiary of BNEZ.'' Once the divestiture is completed, Compass will formally file with the NASD as a reporting OTC:BB company, said Jeremiah Kane, a Wharton School graduate and President and CEO of Compass. ''Our application, CUSIP number, intended stock symbol, and sample stock certificate are already in place, and we are ready to proceed.'' BNEZ shareholders will receive one share of Compass for every ten shares of BNEZ. The record date of the spin-off is July 10, 1999. ''We are also looking at other potential divestitures as a way of maximizing investor value,'' said Michael Weinstein, BNEZ Chief Operating Officer.
