Here's some thoughts from RB which make sense to me. By: AlphaWolf Reply To: None Monday, 28 Jun 1999 at 1:37 PM EDT Post # of 37195 I Think that this is wonderful news. LU has stated in past PR that they are hammering out deals with Websites as well as Artists. This SDMI news release is saying that all formats will be used in phase 1 and in phase 2 you will still be able to download music as you can now. MicroOs, and please correct me if I'm wrong, will work with multiple formats!!! I don't know of any other file system that can do this, so in conclusion, wouldn't MicroOs be used in everyone's devices in order to have the flexibility to listen to digital music in many different formats. I think that this news is just what we've been waiting for. If you were Sony, would you develope a device that can only play MP4 when artists are releasing music in a2b, EPAC, and MP3? I don't think so. MicroOs will accomodate all formats!!!!!!!!!!!! Please correct me if I'm off base here, but I think that this is what we've been waiting for!!! Good Luck All!!!
