Yaacov, USA saves Europe one more time, this time from Milosovic. :-) How are you?

I believe the "good news" being referred to by Luis et al. is settlement of patent infringement suit by Lucent against Cisco and counter suit by Cisco. Since Cisco says that there is no charge to earnings, I interpret this to mean no money exchanged hands, rather royalty-free licensing of some of each other's patents was used in bringing about agreement. It's no big deal, in other words.

A more serious concern, I blieve, is Lucent's and Juniper's (and others) inroads into Cisco's router business as mentioned in one story today:

Let's hear from the Ciscophiles, is anybody here worried that Cisco's 90+% market share in routers is being threatened? I, for one, am concerned at the lack of Cisco's visibility in the terabit router product pipeline. Can anyone offer substantive status of Cisco relative to Juniper, Lucent in terabit routers, and how likely will Cisco maintain its Gorilla-hold on routers in the next five years. Thanks.

Ciao Yaacov. How do you like USA women soccer team?
