FYI--looks like potential split? if so, this thing may rocket more from here. -ng- Telecommunications June 28, 1999 14:52 JDS FITEL and Uniphase Shareholders Approve Merger Business Editors At the Uniphase meeting, shareholders of Uniphase also voted in favour of proposals to change the company's name to JDS Uniphase Corporation, to increase the number of authorized shares of common stock from 100 million to 200 million, and to increase the number of shares of common stock available under its employee stock purchase plan from 1 million shares to 2.5 million shares. The completion of the merger is expected to take place in early July and is conditional upon a final order from the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
