t2k, I actually think that if the buyers continue to nibble today as we head towards the close, this afternoon may be the start of the upswing we've been waiting for. I do not believe, however, that this march towards earnings will be like those of Quarters gone by. This Q, I believe, will be very, very volatile. And because of this volatility, the road to new highs will be a bumpy one and may take longer than anticipated.

In other words, I do not believe the Market is going to be a straight bull run through to earnings release. I think the ride will be bumpy at best. I have not purchased any MSFT options this Q. The market is moving too quickly for me to keep track in a timely manner. I wish all those MSFT call holders out there the best. The key, however, will be executing trades quickly and not getting too GREEDY...

The good news in the Market, is that MSFT has finally gotten ahead of the curve with respect to the rest of the tech sector. My point is that MSFT sold off long before the rest of the tech sector (started back in April when the NASDAQ hit a new high while MSFT was 10% below it high), and the tech sector will not rebound until MSFT establishes leadership to the upside. And this is happening now. The rest of the tech sector, including the internets, should begin their bullish run within the next two weeks at this rate, with MSFT hitting new highs long before they do.

If this trend continues, the tech sector could enjoy a very healthy summer.

>> i could reduce my options positions, which is quite large at this time. If we get a dip, i am planning to add some July 87.50s, 90s, 92.50 or 95

LMAO!!! So how is adding 87.5s, 90s, 92.5s, or 95s help you reduce your options position? <LOL>.

You are a classic, my Canadian friend. Is this your last roll before you retire from the game?
