Someone once posted on here that the number of posts is a good contrarian indicator. I forget who it was. We must be ready to head up, as the board activity seems way down.

I read last week in Power magazine (published by McGraw Hill for the electrical generating/utility community) of a large number of gas turbines that are currently being installed for utility electrical generation. I believe most are new or will replace coal fired plants. There were at least 10 specific locations listed. I should have saved the article.

It will take sustained rig count increases week to week, announcements of increased capital spending by E&P's, continued reductions in crude inventories, announcements of new drilling contracts at good day rates, and continued stability of oil/gas prices for oil service/drillers to really take off. Not asking much, huh? When it takes off, it will move quickly so I am in and holding.

Good luck,
Chas
