They still can not sell the restricted stock until the waiting period is over. Otherwise it is illegal. They would have to hold on to the stock until cleared. They could short the stock to hedge up until that time which opens them up to risk on the upside. (Puting up more required margin) Would you give Sanchez a loan on his holdings???
