I've got a lot to do without monkeying with a new PC -- I'll give it a few more weeks -- what the heck? Something happened the other day that makes me want to escape from any technology for a while. I went to our company's annual meeting a last week in KC -- your old stomping ground -- guess they didn't have all the wonderful casino action then, eh? Boy a guy misses a lot by living in the country. Heh he he. Company hired a couple of bozo motivational speakers -- Don't you love it when motivational speakers who can barely start a car --- start gushing about how wonderful technology is and how we have to prepare ourselves for "where it is all going to take us." Guys with education degrees are the worst. What is so funny is their cautionary tales -- Lotus was doing great, but just ignored this little company that came out with a crappy operating system --- then whammo!! Then this idiot goes on to extrapolate MSFT owning the world and competing with us as an electric supplier ... never occurs to the dumb bunnies that what happened to Lotus or any other company could happen to MSFT or DELL. I think I'm going into consulting soon ... :-) Our business is producing electrical energy from fossil fuel and this nitwit the company hired goes on to tell us how benevolent "mother nature" bottled up carbon dioxide to protect the living things -- now we are burning it up letting the CO2 out to destroy the world -- talk about considering your audience. I figured a few of our member owners would be ready to kick the guys ___ back to Canada where he came from, but the most distressing thing was riding to some of the functions and hearing people actually consider what these two bozos said to be gospel. Simply amazing ... there are lots of sheep out there ...
