I was offering predictions and not proofs, true. Just like you.

As for complacency, numbers don't lie. Inflation continues to be benign, regardless of what bond traders think. I prefer to follow the Fed nd while the yield curve can continue to get steeper, I doubt that with 170 BB in less demand for treasuries (another fact) as the President mentioned today they can get too steep.
