while i suppose we are expected to have to 'politely listen with naivete and scrubbed upturned faces' to somebody utter something we want to hear, bill, i, personally, WAS NOT comforted by the avowals you posted of dear dick mills, regardless of how educated or experienced this particular prevaricator is. all industries are at risk. is it TRULY your position that the FAA is a worser liar than the dick mills' of this world in the electrical generation industry? that is hard to substantiate. THE pivotal industry, THE one that all of 'industrialized' society depends upon is none other than electricity. electricity WILL fail, no ifs ands or buts about it. if dick is such a credible source why isn't he on the CNA advisory team to our military. it is my position that if he had such good information and such a high degree of confidence in our 'grid', it would be shouted from the rooftops. his credentials would be such as to divert human power & command and control expertise in our army and national guard in particular to other more critical areas of human services and chaos dead ahead. when was the last time you or i needed an ak-47 weilding buck private to turn on a lightbulb? as far as i'm concerned, he is just another talking head, only particularly naked, since he is without HARDWARE credentials. my sources within the power industry are quaking in their management boots. they are doing basic solar and generator + battery banks solutions to 'make sure their family survives' because they know their jobs won't survive, let alone the power grid they've spent their lives currying and coddling and switching and borrowing and sending and patching and repairing and and and there WON'T EVER be any truth telling in the electrical grid arena. Not in the next 187 days. "they" can't afford to tell the truth there any more than they can afford to let the public know of each and every terrorist threat that hits every national airpor and every national embassy of every soverign nation anywhere on the globe. we have allowed our 'bureaucrats' and management 'public relations' departments speak spin for so long, we have forgotten the value of truth. the unvarnished, dopler radar, tornado WARNING kind of truth that at least gives you 2 minutes to find cover in this land. cynic? you bet i am. haven't you been lied to enough to last YOU, oh, say 5 or 6 generations worth yet? i have. and so have the rest of us who can see what is coming. you know that 'still, small voice' implanted within each heaving breast? that is the only one that is telling the truth nowadays. and if you don't like what it is telling you, then that is your problem. that still small voice, has ALWAYS told the truth. and when it has been ignored, whether in the garden of eden, in the courtyard of king david the adulterer, the oval office or the kremlin, makes no difference, when that still small voice is ignored, and the truth it reveals spun until it no longer resembles the truth, then not only are you and i in trouble, the entire world is. is this the physical destruction, the end of the world? No! is this the end of the electrified, plug it in, flip the switch world as we know it? AN UNEQUIVOCAL YES!!! that is the plain unvarnished truth. my still small voice doesn't require that you listen to it, but i decided to. and me and my family are the better off for it. however, i won't sit around waiting for you to acknowledge your still small voice, or validate mine, or explain why dick mills utters his 1/2 a loaf is better than none pap. i'm becoming less and less 'my brother's keeper' the longer this drowning of the still small voice goes on. ignoring it individually and collectively is why lying occurs on the scale that it does, societally now. do i believe dick mills is lying through his teeth? YES! do i believe it is intentional b/s he is spouting? YES! can i prove it? YES! does it bother me? of course it bothers me to be lied to. doesn't it bother you anymore? too bad we've been lied to so much in this nation, in this global village. we are left trying to sort between which lie sounds like it has a kernel of truth in it and which lie has absolutely no chance in hell of even spotting the truth with a Palo Alto sized telescope. maybe the big reason why the Sovereign God laid down the law to Moses and built the big 10 Commandments around the pivotal: Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness is because in that God's Omniscient Power and Mercy, THEY saw the outcome of so much individual and collective falsehoods. consequences always follow the infraction, the sin, the missing the mark. however postponed those consequences may be, they are not escapable. however the lie may be spun, false witness is wrong. on an individual scale or on the global scale. makes no difference whether it is a lie of "commission" or a lie of "omission." and in 187 days give or take a few, the global village will find out more lies than they ever wanted to know and see stripped naked more liars than they can possibly 'handle'who inhabit this plane. it is sad. so sad. and, who was it that said: all it takes if for good men to do nothing. well, the good and the bad and the ugly will all see liars everywhere and have no one to blame but themselves for not challenging the lies or the liars because it is so politically 'incorrect' to take such a strong stand for individual and 'corporate' truth. we are being laughed at and mocked in the very halls of 'power generation' by the liars who wrote this stuff and the companies who feed it too them. i had to laugh outloud today when Bell South was upgraded to a buy because they have a new target of 61 per share in 2000? 6.10? maybe they just 'omitted' the decimal.
