I guess it depends on how the deal (if and when it happens) is structured.Under the following scenario CMGI shareholders might have an indirect stake in ASKJ since CPQ holdings has some 13% or so stake in ASKJ.

"... CMGI, which runs Internet venture funds, and AltaVista last
week said they were in talks about CMGI buying a controlling
stake. AltaVista Chief Executive Rod Schrock said the discussions
continue, though there is ''no new news.'' AltaVista also still
plans an initial public offering by year's end, Schrock said.....
