then click the communicator link (you're using communicator, right?). at that point, you'll be asked if you want to download messages. it'll be a number like 55k. don't freak out... it's just the "headers" that you download. everything else stays on the newsgroup servers. <g3> after downloading all the headers, you'll probably find yourself in the newsgroups. treat it like email messages. once you get there, scroll down to the entry called "no advanced preferences" with the 3:59 time stamp. then you should be good to go. whenever you go back, you'll find the newsgroups at the bottom of your mail folders list. occasionally you'll download new messages to keep current.
