Bill, you are right that the specialists/members short positions are only good for a short term read. anyway, my post was only half serious. there are so many indications of complacency in this market that i think the bears will soon have their day in the sun. if people were worried about the overvaluation, i would come to a different conclusion. alas, they are not. see: Message 10307371 the usual caveats about the mania's staying power apply, of course...<g> regards, hb
