LG, maybe i *should* toss a coin..<g>. the indicators i'm looking at are just as hard to read as the rest of the technical evidence; i guess that is a phenomenon generally associated with trading ranges. when the market has a bout of weakness for a week and approaches the lower end of the range the indications of incipient fear get just big enough to turn the darn thing around again, and at the upper end of the range optimism quickly rises, making a convincing breakthrough impossible. i know one thing though: in a market that has so many potential and actual negatives to contend with as this one, optimism should on average not be as high as it is right now.
