I would rather hear the thread's feeling as to which stocks will run in anticipation of July earnings season. I am mostly interested in the large cap techs and first-tier internets there. . . as I said before. . .the summer decline is very broad. . . but the rallies are quite narrow.

I would love to hear some arguments for or against any of the top companies. . . like AOL, YHOO, LCOS, DCLK, ATHM, INKT, CMGI, RNWK, IBM, CSCO, INTC, LU, FDX, MOT, HWP, etc.

PS> UNPH looks pretty good, but I don't have time now to look into it further. . . .in fact. . .home made tacos just now landed on my lap.

Followup on post #8782-- more on UNPH

From Reuters news release today (excerpts):

Stockholders from JDS Fitel approved merger with UNPH with 99% approval vote. Josef Strauss (CEO of JDS Fitel) said focus will be to restructure the combined firms' sales forces on large accounts and give players in the fiberoptic telecommunications space a "one-stop shopping" provider with quicker response and service. Products combining the technology from the two companies will be available within the next 3 to 6 months.
