Actually, a Rambus solution was here and left. I believe it was Cirrus Logic that did it. The card was so horrible, I've forgotten the name.

What does Rambus mean for 3dfx? Nothing, in the long run. A few years ago it was DRAM, then VRAM and WRAM, then SDRAM and SGRAM. If RDRAM is the next graphics memory of choice, so be it, but for several technical reasons, I doubt it will make the cut.
