>>COMPUTERS ARE OUR FAVOURITE INVENTION
Americans rank computers as the most important technological invention of the 20th Century, according to a Harris Poll. 40% of respondents listed computers first, followed by TV and refrigerators tying for second with 12% each, then antibiotics 6%, and the aeroplane 3%. What didn't they like? Weapons of mass destruction, credit cards, genetic engineering and video games, in that order.

I'll bet they didn't include many respondents that live south of the Mason-Dixon line. Refrigeration, in its various forms, would've won hands down. Antibiotics only 6%? Airplanes only 3%? Seems a little out of kilter to me.
