UNPH now half Cannuck... sounds swell to me, eh? from my reading, Uniphase nucleus has the vision, financing, core products, and megalomania... JDS Fitel has the key products, such as erbium doped fiber amplifier... whoever developed the EDMA deserves a Nobel Prize in physics next year should be huge for UNPH, as fiber optic buildout accelerates... maybe a little diversification from total Q-centric position? tidbit on Fidelity... I think they suck... friend just got told that concentrated positions now get slapped with 100% margin requirement... his response: transfer 100% to AlexBrown... I got friends at Fidelity... they still suck / jim
