Uncle
I'm pleased to announce that I've completed my initial read of "the manual" with the exception of a couple of the case studies in the back. Does this qualify me for a certificate/prize etc?

By the way, interesting discussion here recently regarding CSCO/LU/NT. I personally only hold CSCO of the three. I suspect the trend towards telecomm equipment becoming a non-gorilla environment may continue. Seems to me that LU/NT are so entrenched with the carriers that CSCO will continue to have difficulty penetrating this market, particularly while the robustness of their systems is in question. While I'm no expert, it strikes me more and more that CSCO is really only a gorilla in a fairly narrow market segment(data networking/routers). With the convergence of their networking and the more traditional telecom gear markets, CSCO's "gorillaness" may be diminished by the increasing breadth of the struggle they face with LU/NT. I don't see either LU/NT as true gorillas. (Others may differ). I think we could end up with three very big, successful firms, but none with that killer edge which equates to a gorilla across the entire telecomm market - hence not necessarily rulemakers going forward.

Feedback most welcome.
