Hi Valueman, don't you ever sleep?

So, whoever pays, what's not quite clear is how much. There was a horror story, I think in the WSJ, a few months ago about a call made to an Iridium phone. It took the caller immense amounts of trouble with his local LD provider to get a price, and in the end it was immense--I can't recall the figure but, something over 10$/minute, I think.

As to "global roamers," I know the company has discounted them and heard the point made that the vast majority of cell phone calls presently made are local. I suppose in setting priorities, it may make sense to ignore them, at least outside of N.America and Europe. My problem with this strategy is (1) IRID's impending reorg/bankruptcy creates a window of opportunity to capture that market and (2) the world's financial markets are driven by people who are or think like "global roamers" and assume everybody else in the world is dirt poor. Investors like Mr. Duray (no offense intended,) who is "having the hardest time trying to figure out who the market is for this system."

Have a good evening/morrow.

RS
