I agree the older you get, the less it means. But frankly for young folk like me, name "schools" do count. It sad for me to see my friends who went to state school, who were just as smart or smarter than my friend at Brown.. not being able to get the best jobs just because of the school.

I know one GREAT thing that came out of Brown University was a very famous racecar driver. Can anyone name him ? This may sound dumb, but one of my lifelong goals is to take in an Ivy League Football game. Dartmouth vs. ?? Brown ?? Bucknell vs. somebody ?? (yes, tell me Bucknell isn't Ive League). it'd be fun to go to a game where nobody gives a shit who wins (except the coach and athletic director). Instead, i am stuck in Nebraska, where every single scrimmage, practice, workout, let alone game, is frontpage news year around. School does nothing more than impress the folks in the HR department, aside from that, it's 'how you blow who you know' anymore. That, and being an MCSE in several things.....
