The hydrogen bomb is a thermonuclear weapon capable of devastating 150 square miles by blast, with searing heat effects and radioactive fallout for more than 800 square miles, depending on the size of the weapon. Its explosions are much larger than those of atomic (fission) bombs.

Since its pre-market and we're doing history...

My father was stationed in the Marshall Islands during the atomic testing in the 50's and he witnessed the first hydrogen bomb test. He said it was the most devastating thing that he had ever seen. And yes, it absolutely blew away the little old A-bomb...

A little side fact is that he started getting questionaires from the gov't in the 80's asking him about his health. It only took them 30 years to get around to it.
